Connect Nanopixo to Claude and ChatGPT

What is MCP and why use it?

MCP, short for Model Context Protocol, is an open standard that lets AI assistants take actions on your behalf in other apps. Once you connect Nanopixo to Claude or ChatGPT, you can paste a listing URL into the chat, say "make me a vertical reel", and the assistant creates the project and renders the video, all in your account.

In short: instead of clicking around in Nanopixo, you just describe what you want. The assistant uses the Nanopixo MCP server to do it.

Pick your AI client

The Nanopixo MCP server works with any client that supports MCP. The most common ones today:

Claude Desktop
The Claude app for Mac and Windows. Best if you want a chat-style window next to your other apps.

Claude Code
The Claude CLI for developers. Best if you live in the terminal.

ChatGPT
Works through a Custom GPT or, on supported plans, native MCP connectors.

No favourite yet? Start with Claude Desktop. It is the smoothest path and has the best MCP support today.

Add the Nanopixo MCP server

The Nanopixo MCP server lives at:

https://app.nanopixo.com/mcp

Claude Desktop.
Open Settings, go to Connectors, click Add custom connector, paste the URL above, and save. The connector appears in your sidebar.

Claude Code.
In your terminal run:
claude mcp add --transport http nanopixo https://app.nanopixo.com/mcp
Restart Claude Code so the tools become available.

ChatGPT.
Open Settings, go to Connectors, add a new MCP connector, and paste the URL above. On plans without native MCP, you can use a Custom GPT pointing at the same server.

Sign in to Nanopixo

The first time you use the connector, the client opens a Nanopixo sign-in window. Log in with the same account you use in the app. The assistant only sees what your account can see, so videos, credits, and properties stay scoped to your team.

Allow all actions when prompted.
After signing in, your client (Claude Desktop, Claude Code, or ChatGPT) shows a consent screen listing the actions Nanopixo can perform on your behalf: create videos, publish to social, buy credits, and so on. Keep every action enabled. If you uncheck any of them, the matching prompts will silently fail later. You can change this any time from the connector's settings.

No Nanopixo account yet? Create one first; the connector reuses the same login.

Try your first command

In a new chat, type something like:

"How many credits do I have left in Nanopixo?"
"List my last 5 properties in Nanopixo."
"Show me the details for my most recent property."

The assistant calls the matching Nanopixo tool, shows the result, and asks if you want to do something with it. Once this works, the connection is live.

Create a video by chat

Now the fun part. Paste any listing URL and ask for a video:

"Create a vertical Nanopixo video for https://www.immosmets.be/te-koop/huis-gent. Use a calm pace, Dutch voice, and confirm before rendering."

The assistant scrapes the listing, creates the project in your account, lets you confirm the settings, and starts the render. You can keep chatting to check status, swap photos, or publish to social once it is ready.

Tip: ask the assistant to "confirm before rendering" or "show me the scenes first". Renders cost credits, so a confirmation step is worth its weight in gold.

What you can ask Nanopixo to do

Most of Nanopixo is available through chat. The list below starts with the things people use most, and ends with the smaller bits. Every line is a real prompt you can copy.

1. Make a video from a listing URL

2. Make a video from your own photos
"Create a video from the photos in my property ‘Maison Gent’. Use a 9:16 vertical format and an upbeat track."

3. Publish or schedule to social

4. Check status and review your work

5. Manage credits
"How many credits do I have left?"

6. Tune voice, music, pace, and template

Things that cost credits (renders, credit purchases) always run against your team balance, so ask the assistant to confirm before it spends.

Troubleshooting

The client says "no Nanopixo tools available".
Restart the client after adding the connector. Claude Desktop and Claude Code only load MCP servers on startup.

The sign-in window does not open.
Check that pop-ups are allowed for your client. If you are on Claude Code, the auth flow uses a browser tab; allow it to open.

The assistant says "I can't access your account".
Your session expired. Remove the Nanopixo connector and add it again to re-authenticate.

It started a render I did not want.
Add "confirm before rendering" to your prompt. You can also revoke the connector anytime; in-flight renders still complete in your Nanopixo account.

Privacy and limits

The Nanopixo MCP server only acts on your account. It cannot see other users' data and it uses the same permissions you have in the app. Tools that spend credits (renders, credit purchases) always run against your team balance, so keep an eye on prompts that involve them. You can disconnect the integration at any time from your AI client.
